Timberwolves Rout Kings 144–117 for Fourth Victory in Five Games

Anthony Edwards led seven Minnesota players scoring in double figures with 26 points as the Timberwolves continued their dominance in Sacramento, securing their sixth straight win there.

The Wolves (6–4) achieved their fourth win in five games, following another strong performance. Although not as overwhelming as Friday’s 40-point blowout against Utah, Minnesota maintained control after briefly trailing early. They shot 53.6% from the field, made 18 of 46 three-pointers, and scored 37 points off 18 Kings turnovers.

“Another complete game on both ends of the floor,” Timberwolves coach Chris Finch told reporters. “We were really sharp, which is what we needed. Built on the performances of the other day, and it continued into today. Really pleased with how we’re starting games defensively.”

In his third game back from a hamstring injury that sidelined him for four games, Edwards went 7-for-16 from the field, 5-for-11 from beyond the arc, and 7-for-8 from the line. After scoring 37 points against Utah, he is now 12-for-23 on three-pointers over his past two games.
