Glenn Close on Embracing New Challenges

Glenn Close admits that repeating herself would bore her, which is why she continues to take on projects that challenge her creativity and push her into new territory.

"I don't want to repeat myself because I think I'd be really bored."

Although she has portrayed numerous iconic women, it’s surprising she had not yet worked with Ryan Murphy. That is changing with Hulu’s upcoming series All’s Fair.

"I was intimidated until I started to understand the tone. And once I understood the tone, then it became really fun."

The Power of Collaboration

In All’s Fair, Close plays Dina, a commanding lawyer in an all-female firm that features a stellar cast including Kim Kardashian, Sarah Paulson, Niecy Nash, and Naomi Watts.

"To bring all that energy and all that experience together is bound to create something really unique."

She also developed strong friendships during filming.

"This group of women, they’ll be my friends for the rest of my life."

Staying Curious and Fearless

Close remains motivated by her desire for fresh creative exploration.

"I’m basically up for anything as long as it represents a new exploration."

Next, she will appear in Rian Johnson’s Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery, which she learned about the same week she joined All’s Fair.

"I got two Ryans in the same week. It was like, what?"
