The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced sanctions against players for breaches of its Code of Conduct during the Asia Cup 2025. Notably, Suryakumar Yadav, Haris Rauf, Jasprit Bumrah, and Sahibzada Farhan faced disciplinary actions after incidents in matches between India and Pakistan.
Suryakumar Yadav was found guilty of breaching Article 2.21 of the ICC Code of Conduct, which addresses actions that discredit the game. He was fined and assigned two demerit points.
Sahibzada Farhan received a similar verdict with an official warning and one demerit point.
Haris Rauf also breached the same article and was fined 30% of his match fee, receiving two demerit points.
India’s Arshdeep Singh was cleared of an alleged breach of Article 2 during this match.
“Haris Rauf’s total of four demerit points within 24 months resulted in two suspension points under the ICC’s disciplinary framework.”
