Preparations continue smoothly for the United Launch Alliance (ULA) Atlas V rocket launch carrying the ViaSat-3 Flight 2 mission, a powerful commercial communications satellite by Viasat. The liftoff is scheduled for Wednesday, November 5, from Space Launch Complex-41 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station, Florida.
The Launch Readiness Review (LRR) was completed successfully at the Advanced Spaceflight Operations Center (ASOC) this morning, confirming all systems are go for the mission. ULA Launch Director James Whelan led the review.
ViaSat-3 Flight 2 is described as “one of the most sophisticated and powerful commercial communications satellites” featuring ultra-high-capacity broadband capabilities.
