Bradley Beal recently returned to Phoenix and shared his thoughts about his stint with the Suns. Although unsure how to tell the story, Beal acknowledged there was a significant one to share after his departure.
Having left Phoenix in mid-July through a buyout and now with the Los Angeles Clippers, Beal took time to reflect on what went wrong during his tenure. He was part of the Suns’ challenging two-year period, marked by unmet high expectations alongside Devin Booker and Kevin Durant.
“You reflect for sure. Everybody did their ‘what if’s’ but you can’t live in the past, you can’t live in those moments. Obviously, we could have had something special, but it didn’t happen. Didn’t work, and we all moved on.”
Beal avoided delving into specific behind-the-scenes details about the team’s struggles or decisions regarding his future. His tone suggested he had long since moved on and recognized the collective disappointment in how things unfolded.
“It’s probably gonna be a big ‘what if?’ story forever but at the end of the day, everybody has a story, everything happens for a reason and I’m excited with where I am and I’m sure Book’s excited for his team and I’m sure K is excited for his situation.”
Bradley Beal reflects on the Suns’ failed run with maturity, accepting the past while embracing his current journey ahead with the Clippers.
