Alan Carr, known for his role on Celebrity Traitors and his ITV sitcom Changing Ends, has reportedly been recruited by the BBC for a new format. The 49-year-old comedian was recently flown abroad to film a pilot episode for a prime-time quiz show featuring celebrity guests, according to The Sun.
This new opportunity follows rumors about a fresh TV deal for Carr, coming eight years after his Channel 4 chat show, Chatty Man, ended. The move positions Alan in direct competition with his Celebrity Traitors co-star Jonathan Ross, who recently renewed his contract to continue hosting The Jonathan Ross Show on ITV.
"Unquestionably, Alan is the hottest man on TV right now. Everyone wants a piece of him. But the BBC have acted quickly and last week he was jetted out to a swanky European city for a day of filming a pilot."
Alan Carr is gaining new momentum in his TV career, signing with the BBC to host a celebrity quiz show that will heighten his presence and challenge his peers in prime-time slots.
