The Sacramento Kings are reportedly considering signing free agent center Precious Achiuwa, as shared by NBA insider Jake Fischer on November 3, 2025. The team’s general manager, Scott Perry, appears to be seeking ways to improve the Kings’ size and rebounding power.
Achiuwa, 26, most recently played for the New York Knicks during the 2024–25 season. Known for his strong rebounding, the veteran big man could help strengthen Sacramento’s interior presence. The Kings currently rank last in the league in rebounds per game (37.5) as they manage the absence of starting forward Keegan Murray, who is recovering from wrist surgery.

If the Kings move forward with signing Achiuwa, they would need to make a corresponding roster adjustment, as the team already has 15 standard contracts. While Russell Westbrook’s contract for this season is only partially guaranteed, he has started strong in his Kings debut. Players such as second-year forward Issac Jones, forward Dario Saric, and wing Doug McDermott could also be candidates to make room for Achiuwa.
The Sacramento Kings may bolster their frontcourt by pursuing center Precious Achiuwa, aiming to solve their rebounding struggles early in the 2025 NBA season.
