Canadian Olympian Rory Linkletter will chase a personal best and the Canadian marathon record at the Bank of America Chicago Marathon.
Linkletter, 29, from Alberta, will target the record of 2:05:36, set by Cam Levins in 2023.
At the elite press conference, Linkletter made a statement with his outfit, wearing a full Canadian tuxedo, consisting of a Levi's jean jacket and slim denim jeans, paired with a long blonde mullet.
He looked more like he'd just stepped out of a Bruce Springsteen concert than into a marathon elite press conference.
In contrast, defending champion John Korir and half-marathon world record holder Jacob Kiplimo wore Nike tracksuits.
Author's summary: Rory Linkletter targets record.
