The University of Notre Dame announced on Monday, November 3, that the legendary band AC/DC will perform at the university stadium at 7:30 p.m. Tickets will become available at 10 a.m., with a limit of four tickets per person and per credit card.
Brothers Malcolm and Angus Young founded AC/DC in Sydney, Australia, in 1973, as noted by classicrockhistory.com. The band rose to international fame for its unique mix of blues-rock and hard rock on albums such as Dirty Deeds Done Dirt Cheap (1976), Highway to Hell (1979), Back in Black (1980), and For Those About to Rock (We Salute You) (1981).
Among AC/DC’s most well-known songs are “You Shook Me All Night Long,” “Who Made Who,” “Hells Bells,” and “Thunderstruck.”
The concert will open with The Pretty Reckless, a hard rock band led by Gossip Girl star Taylor Momsen. The group has achieved eight No. 1 songs on Billboard’s Mainstream Rock Airplay chart, including their recent hit “For I Am Death,” which followed three consecutive chart-toppers: “Death by Rock and Roll,” “And So It Went,” and “Only Love Can Save Me Now,” all from their 2021 album Death by Rock and Roll.
