Mild and breezy conditions are expected to persist through Friday before a weekend storm brings cooler weather. FOX 32's Mike Caplan provides the latest forecast.
Chicago will continue to experience mild November weather for the remainder of the workweek. Today will be mostly cloudy to partly sunny with highs in the lower 60s. Winds will be lighter than yesterday but will increase tonight and tomorrow.
Tonight’s temperatures will remain steady in the 50s, near the normal daytime high for this time of year. Tomorrow, the city will likely see its third consecutive day with highs above 60, accompanied by a mix of clouds and sun and gusty winds reaching 30 mph.
Thursday will bring a new storm system approaching, yet the day should remain dry with highs in the mid to upper 50s. From Thursday night into Friday morning, showers and possibly embedded thunderstorms will occur.
After the morning showers on Friday, the rest of the day will be breezy and mild, with highs again in the lower 60s.
The next storm is expected to arrive Saturday afternoon, bringing showers and highs in the lower 50s. On Sunday, a much colder air mass will move in, ending precipitation by Sunday morning and clearing most areas before the Bears game.
“There is much ballyhoo already about potential snow arriving Sunday or Monday and here’s what I will say about that: The US model has scaled back its ridiculous snowfall prediction from yesterday.”
This forecast suggests that while snowfall is possible, expectations should be tempered as models have reduced previous snow predictions.
The forecast highlights a warm week giving way to a weekend storm and possible snow, though recent models have lowered snowfall expectations.
