The Logitech MX Master 4 is a mixed bag but remains a strong productivity mouse. Though it introduces some changes that suggest it could replace the MX Master 3S, many of these updates don't add significant value.
Compared to its predecessor, the MX Master 4 is taller at its peak and slightly longer and bulkier. A notable design change is a prominent rounded ridge on the left side, where the horizontal scroll wheel is located. The main buttons now have a semi-translucent coating, which feels like an unusual addition for a mouse redesign.
Having used the MX Master 3S exclusively for two years, I was eager to try the new model. While the MX Master 4 is still excellent for productivity, it feels like a missed chance to address some flaws of the previous design.
"While the MX Master 4 has some changes on paper that make it a shoo-in for an MX Master 3S replacement, the reality is that most of them don't bring much to the party."
"It's still an excellent productivity mouse, but represents a missed opportunity to majorly improve on some of the flaws of a design classic."

"Our experienced team dedicates many hours to every review, to really get to the heart of what matters most to you."
The Logitech MX Master 4 offers incremental design updates and remains a reliable productivity mouse, but it falls short of significantly advancing its predecessor's strengths or addressing design weaknesses.
