A 24-year-old man lost his life and a 23-year-old woman is in critical condition following a crash in Aurora, authorities reported. The incident occurred on November 5 when a gray Honda Accord veered off the road at high speed and collided with a tree, according to the Aurora Police Department.
The Aurora Police responded around 11:21 p.m. to the 600 block of Spruce Street. Both the driver and passenger were ejected from the vehicle during the crash. The man was declared dead at the scene, while the woman was transported by paramedics to a nearby hospital.
The Kane County Coroner’s Office has not released the identities of the victims pending notification of their next of kin. Police Chief Matt Thomas expressed sympathy for those affected:
