Emergency services responded to Baranbah Street, Baan Baa, near Narrabri, at approximately 7:50 PM on Friday after reports of a child hit by a train. The baby was seriously injured and received paramedic treatment before being transported to a hospital, where she later passed away.

“Officers attached to Oxley Police District were told the child was walking along the road before being clipped by the train,” NSW Police stated.
