The Miami-area residence of Heat coach Erik Spoelstra was engulfed in flames shortly after the team returned from a road trip. A two-alarm fire erupted early Thursday morning at the multi-million-dollar home, according to Milena Malaver, Carl Juste, and David Neal of the Miami Herald.
The Heat and Spoelstra landed on a chartered flight from Denver at 5 a.m. ET after completing a four-game road trip. This arrival was about 25 minutes after firefighters were dispatched to his Miami-Dade property.
The house sits on a 43,000-square-foot lot and was sold for $6.6 million in 2023. Firefighters fought the blaze for over four hours at the five-bedroom home, which features a pool and tennis courts. Fortunately, no injuries were reported during the incident.
