Mail Service to Canada Will Resume Next Week

Mail shipments to Canada are scheduled to restart next week despite the ongoing rolling strike at Canada Post. A spokeswoman from the Bermuda Post Office stated that although mail shipments to Canada will resume on Monday, some delivery delays might still occur due to ongoing disruptions.

“The BPO appreciates the public’s patience and co-operation during this time.”

Mail delivery services from Bermuda to Canada were suspended in late September because of a nationwide strike at Canada Post. The Canadian Union of Postal Workers recently shifted from a national strike to a rotating strike, enabling mail deliveries to restart.

The Bermuda Post Office also announced that all local post offices will close early at noon tomorrow for a staff event.

“The BPO apologises for any inconvenience this early closure may cause.”
