Saim Ayub scored 53 and Salman Ali Agha top-scored with 69, putting together a 92-run partnership for the fourth wicket that helped steady Pakistan's innings. However, Ayub was caught and bowled by Corbin Bosch.
Mohammad Nawaz contributed a steady 59 runs. But South Africa's Nqaba Peter, with figures of 3-55, restricted Pakistan’s momentum by dismissing Nawaz, Hussain Talat (10), and Shaheen Afridi (1), resulting in a total of 269-9.
South Africa comfortably chased down the target. Lhuan-dre Pretorius survived a dropped catch by Naseem Shah but was eventually dismissed for 46.
