North Lincolnshire Unites to Honour Armed Forces on Remembrance Sunday
North Lincolnshire will pay tribute to the service and sacrifice of its armed forces with a parade and remembrance event in Scunthorpe on Sunday, 9 November.
Event Details
- The parade will assemble outside The Baths Hall starting at 10:10 AM and begin moving at 10:25 AM.
- Attendees are welcome to arrive for tea and coffee inside the venue from 9:30 AM or gather outside from 10:00 AM.
Parade Route and Participants
The procession, featuring serving personnel, veterans, military organizations, and uniformed groups, will travel along Doncaster Road to the Cenotaph located outside North Lincolnshire Museum.
Remembrance Service
- The service will start at 10:45 AM with an Act of Remembrance.
- A two-minute silence will be observed at 11:00 AM, followed by the laying of wreaths.
- The parade will then return to The Baths Hall via Vicarage Gardens.
Post-Service Gathering
After the service, The Baths Hall will host refreshments for attendees wishing to reflect and come together.
Cllr Carol Ross, Mayor of North Lincolnshire, said: “It is a privilege to lead our community in remembering and honouring the immense contribution of our armed forces – those who serve today and those who have served.”
