K-Pop artist HyunA experienced a health emergency during her performance at the Waterbomb Festival in Macau on Sunday evening. While performing her 2011 hit “Bubble Pop,” she suddenly stopped singing and collapsed on stage. Backup dancers immediately rushed to her side, and a bodyguard carried her backstage.
Fans quickly voiced their concerns on social media, awaiting updates on her wellbeing. Later that night, HyunA addressed the incident through Instagram, reassuring everyone that she was recovering and thankful for their support.
"It was a short break between performances, but I wanted to show you my best. I don’t remember anything that happened, and I feel like I wasn’t professional," she said.
"I just want to say thank you for admiring, cherishing, and loving me since I was very young, even though I’ve always been lacking. Don’t worry about me," added HyunA.
Many fans attributed her collapse to significant weight loss, as she reportedly dropped around 10 kilograms in a month through a strict diet. However, HyunA has previously disclosed that she suffers from vasovagal syncope, a medical condition that causes sudden fainting and emotional distress. This condition has led to similar incidents in the past.
