South Korean Singer Hyuna Collapses at Macau Festival

Videos shared widely on social media captured the moment when 33-year-old South Korean performer Hyuna fainted on stage during her song "Bubble Pop!" at the Waterbomb Macau festival on November 9. The sudden collapse caused alarm among fans both online and at the venue.

Backup dancers quickly moved to help before a security staff member carried her off stage. According to News.Az, citing foreign media, the incident has once again sparked concern about Hyuna’s health as supporters await official confirmation about her condition.

The artist, formerly part of K-pop groups Wonder Girls, 4Minute and Triple H, later posted a message on Instagram to reassure her followers that she was safe and recovering. She apologised for causing worry and expressed her gratitude to fans.

“I’m truly sorry,” she wrote in Korean. “It was only a short time since my last performance, but I wanted to show you my best side.”

Hyuna added that she did not remember the incident and felt regretful toward Macau fans who attended the concert.

“I’ll try to build up my stamina and work hard consistently,” she said. “It will be so great if everything goes my way, but I’ll try my best.”

Her candid remarks about dieting and exhaustion have renewed public discussion on the health pressures faced by K-pop idols.
