The popular BBC One dance competition Strictly Come Dancing returned this weekend as it reached its midway point. With the couples performing again, another participant will exit the show on Sunday evening.
Last weekend, viewers were surprised when Ellie Goldstein and her professional partner, Vito Coppola, were eliminated after a dance-off with Balvinder Sopal and Julian Caillon. Ellie, who became a fan favourite, left the show as the judges chose to save the EastEnders actress instead.
Fans will recall the series' first perfect score of 40 awarded to Emmerdale actor Lewis Cope and his professional partner Katya Jones during the previous week.
The episode on November 8 opened with Lewis and Katya. Almost immediately, viewers were captivated by Lewis's dancing and his movements, particularly commenting on his hips.
"It will be a 10 for me, I loved that from Katya and Lewis."
"Patrick Swayze vibes coming from Lewis, so good."
Fans quickly labeled Lewis as their frontrunner, comparing his style to the iconic dancer Patrick Swayze.
Lewis Cope’s captivating dance and distinctive hip movements made him the standout performer as Strictly Come Dancing reached its halfway point.
