“We are devastated - Thom’s infection has made it impossible for him to sing”: Radiohead postpone two Copenhagen shows

Radiohead Postpone Two Copenhagen Shows Due to Thom Yorke’s Illness

Radiohead have announced the postponement of their first two shows in Copenhagen after Thom Yorke developed a throat infection that left him unable to perform.

“Radiohead are gutted to have to announce the postponement of their first two Copenhagen dates this week — tonight, December 1, and tomorrow, December 2. Thom’s infection has made it impossible for him to sing,” the band said in a statement.

The affected concerts were part of a four-night run at Copenhagen’s Royal Arena. The band expressed sadness at having to cancel on such short notice and assured fans that the shows would be rescheduled.

“We’re devastated to have to do this and deeply sorry to everyone who made plans to come. We’re working to arrange new dates as soon as possible.”

Fans are advised to hold on to their tickets, as they will remain valid for the rescheduled performances. The final two shows in Copenhagen, originally planned for December 3 and 4, are expected to proceed as planned, depending on Yorke’s recovery.

Upcoming Tour Plans

These concerts marked the band’s return to live performance in Europe. While the postponement has disappointed many, the band thanked fans for their understanding and support during Yorke’s illness.

“Thom is resting, and we’re hopeful he’ll be back to full voice soon,” the statement concluded.
