A 24-year-old French man has been arrested as the seventh suspect in connection with the abduction of a 49-year-old woman from Hoofddorp.
The woman was abducted on her way to work on Wednesday, and her vehicle was found on Friday in Nieuw-Vennep. She returned safely to her residence on Sunday evening and is in good health.
Authorities have recovered the car used in the abduction and have taken into custody five Dutch nationals and one Belgian in addition to the French suspect.
The abduction was linked to an international dispute among hard-drug criminals, and she was used as leverage.
Police have not disclosed where the woman was held or the circumstances of her return.
