Pedestrian Fatally Struck by School Bus Near West Lafayette
A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a school bus on Monday afternoon, just north of West Lafayette.
According to police, the incident occurred around 1:30 p.m. when the pedestrian was walking across State Road 43, near the Speedway and Phillips 66 gas stations, and was struck by a school bus traveling north in the left lane.
- The pedestrian died at the scene.
- Their name has not been released.
- No other injuries were reported.
- There were no students on the Tippecanoe School Corporation bus at the time of the crash.
