Laurie Beth Schuh passed away unexpectedly at the age of 68 on September 12, 2025.
She is survived by her loving spouse, Amy Meese, and her rescue pets, Bear, Alfie, Jackson, and Rio.
Her parents, John (Jack) Schuh and Mary Ann Schuh (Springborn), preceded her in death.
Laurie was an artistic soul, a loyal supporter of animal and environmental rights, and always had time for a friend in need.
She worked as an art teacher in the Milwaukee Public School District for several years and loved her job and the kids she mentored and taught.
She remained positive even after a work injury necessitated an early retirement.
Laurie enjoyed spending time in Door County, her beloved sanctuary, and at her home in Burlington.
