State Sen. Nick Paul Resigns
Nicholas Paul announced his resignation from his position, serving Chaves, Lincoln, and Otero County, effective October.
Paul cited the need to prioritize his health and family due to recent health concerns as his reason for resignation, according to a press release by the New Mexico Senate Republicans.
“Serving the people of District 33 has been one of the greatest honors of my life,”
“I’m deeply grateful to the citizens of Otero, Lincoln, and Chaves Counties for their trust and support. Together, we’ve worked hard to make our communities stronger, and I will always remain committed to the success of the district and New Mexico.”
Paul has served District 33 since January. His term would have ended on December. Paul was raised in Alamogordo, was an Alamogordo High School graduate, and a former City of Alamogordo Commissioner.
