A pre-pack deal with Boparan Private Office has saved 433 jobs at Roberts Bakery across two sites.
The investment, made for an undisclosed fee, created a new company, Roberts Bakery 1887 Ltd, a reference to the year the Cheshire-based business was founded.
This deal comes after the fourth-generation family business, which produces bread and sweet treats for supermarkets and coffee shops, filed a notice of intention to appoint administrators.
The private investment firm owned by entrepreneur Ranjit Singh Boparan has helped bakery manufacturer Frank Roberts & Son Ltd safeguard jobs.
