The City of Kelowna has provided updates on the hacking of airport systems on Tuesday.
The hacker hijacked the terminal's flight information screens and PA system, but was shut down "within a matter of minutes."
All affected systems were isolated and verified before being restored late last night.
A threat assessment was carried out by the RCMP and Transport Canada, deeming the hacker's "messaging" - which included anti-Israel, pro-Hamas and jihadist sentiment - "not a direct threat towards the travelling public."
The City stated that airport systems are segregated to protect against cyber security incidents migrating from one network to another.
