In Amnesia: The Bunker, players take on the role of Henri Clement, a French soldier fighting in World War I, particularly on the Western Front, which was marked by the newly invented trench warfare.
I always find it so odd when creators take a scenario which is already objectively horrifying and then decide to turn it up to 11 by adding an invented supernatural beast as the core of that horror.
