Tens of thousands of people attending the RedWest country music festival in Salt Lake City were forced to take shelter on Saturday evening as a storm hit the area.

The festival, which was in its second of three days at the Utah State Fairpark, was canceled several hours early. Post Malone was scheduled to headline Saturday night, with Kacey Musgraves on Friday and Noah Kahan on Sunday.

Attendees were notified via the festival's mobile app that the shows would be paused, and organizers later announced on social media that everyone needed to gather their belongings and take shelter.

“From the bathrooms, to the tents... now we’re in this random building," said Alan Scott from Idaho. "Luckily these nice people let us in.
