A tropical wave is being monitored by the National Hurricane Center as it tracks westward at 15 to 20 mph across the central Atlantic.
Forecasters say development chances through 48 hours are low, near zero percent, but
some slow development could occur once the wave reaches the central Caribbean Sea by the middle of next week.
The National Hurricane Center gives the disturbance a 20 percent chance of tropical formation over the next seven days.
