A Berkshire County fire chief, Michael D. Grillo, has been charged with 34 tax-related offenses in his home state.
According to reports from The Berkshire Eagle, Grillo, who owned companies that provided landscaping and facilities management services in New England and New York, allegedly failed to pay $34,000 in sales and use taxes and nearly $98,000 in payroll taxes.
Additionally, Grillo is accused of not filing state income taxes for three years.

Ratner does not believe his client will face jail time.
