Sen. Blake Tillery Runs for Lieutenant Governor
Sen. Blake Tillery, R-19th District, Vidalia, has chosen to run for lieutenant governor, giving up his district seat and chair of the Georgia Senate's Appropriations Committee after 2026.
When I ran for the state Senate I ran on a platform of three items, reducing taxes, bringing jobs to our area, and then on broadband.
Tillery worked with state officials to direct $4 billion in federal funds to communities' water and sewer projects and broadband internet expansion, especially in rural areas, during the COVID pandemic.
