Manipur Government Hikes Police Uniform Allowance
The Manipur government has increased the annual uniform allowance for state police officers and personnel after over three decades.
According to officials, the Governor-in-Council, headed by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla, has approved a proposal to revise the annual uniform allowance for Manipur Police Service (MPS) officers and Junior Commissioned Officers.
- MPS officers will receive INR 8,000 as uniform allowance.
- Junior Commissioned Officers (Inspectors, Subedars, Sub-Inspectors, and Jemadars) will receive INR 6,000.
A senior official confirmed the development on Monday.
No statement from the government was provided regarding the reasoning behind the increase.
