Summers County Man Arrested on Drug Charges
A Summers County man is facing drug charges for allegedly operating a drug lab out of his house.
According to court documents, deputies with the Summers County Sheriff's Office received a credible tip from a confidential source related to drug activity.
On Monday, October 20, 2025, the source provided deputies with several photos illustrating what appeared to be a drug lab in operation by Douglass Scott Berkshire of Hinton.
The confidential source also informed deputies that Berkshire was producing psychedelic mushrooms and Dimethyltryptamine (DMT) through the alleged drug operation.
