The owner of Escape-It Stratford, Caylie Butcher, eagerly anticipates the spooky season.
This is our absolute favourite time of year, she said. Butcher begins planning in February to convert the Huron Street escape room into a haunted house.
Butcher, a self-proclaimed mystery fan, enjoys creating a scary atmosphere.
I think bringing it to life... it's obviously scary, but I like the fact my kids (used to believe in monsters) and now they don't even think about that. The haunted house features sinister skeletons, peculiar props, supernatural sounds, and strobe lighting.
