A fatal crash occurred near Exit 3 on I-787 on Sunday, October 12, after a driver allegedly drove the wrong way, according to the New York State Police (NYSP).
The driver was heading southbound in the northbound lanes when it hit another vehicle going north. The driver of the northbound vehicle was declared dead at the scene.
The driver who was allegedly going the wrong way was taken to Albany Medical Center with non-life-threatening injuries, according to NYSP.
NYSP is investigating this and another serious crash that happened Sunday morning.
