More than 491,000 Filipinos were affected by the "doublet earthquake" that struck Davao Oriental last Friday, according to the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC).
The NDRRMC reported that an estimated 125,283 families, or 491,258 individuals, were impacted by the twin quakes.
The report showed that the majority of affected families were from the Davao Region (66,366 families, or 280,868 individuals) and the Caraga Region (58,917 families, or 210,390 individuals).
Authorities reported eight potential fatalities and 100 injuries, which are still being validated, while 295 injuries have been confirmed.
