Power Restoration Update in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley

Power has been mostly restored to residents in Burlington and Sedro-Woolley as of Saturday afternoon, October 25.

A car crash earlier in the day caused heavy damage to transformers, leading to a large power outage. Over 5,400 customers in Sedro-Woolley and Burlington were initially affected, with more than 1,000 still without power in Sedro-Woolley as of 1 p.m.

A motor vehicle crash around 7 a.m. at Wicker Road and Fruitdale Road likely led to the large power outage, according to Sedro-Woolley police.

Power is estimated to be restored to the remaining customers around 2:30 p.m., according to Puget Sound Energy (PSE).
