Newsom Vs. Trump 2028: California Governor Considers White House Bid
California Governor Gavin Newsom has been hinting at a presidential run for months, and in a recent interview with CBS Sunday Morning's Robert Costa, he made his intentions more official.

Newsom stated that he is giving "serious thought" to a White House bid, but will not make a final decision until after the 2026 midterms. He also expressed his confidence that if Democrats win in 2026, a Trump presidency would be over.
