Last October, an inflatable dinghy carrying 60-70 migrants left the north-east French coast for England. The dinghy took on water and sank shortly after departure.
French rescue services saved 48 people, and an official toll reported three deaths. However, at least a dozen more people went missing.
Thirteen bodies were found on French beaches and in the water, but one year on, nine remain unidentified, despite cooperation from families of the disappeared.
