UPDATE: Felony Murder Warrant Issued
A felony murder warrant was issued for Khalir Nickens, 21, of Sylvania, in connection with the shooting death of Deontre Mincey, 30, of Portal.
According to Capt. Jared Akins of the Statesboro Police Department, Nickens is considered armed and dangerous. The police are asking for public assistance in locating him.

The incident occurred at approximately 1 a.m. Saturday in the parking lot of 200 Lanier Drive, where shots were fired. Upon arrival, officers found the victim deceased from a gunshot wound.
Nickens should be considered armed and dangerous.
