Czech Courts Take Action Against Babis
Just days after Andrej Babis's election victory, Czech courts launched proceedings to strip him of his parliamentary immunity due to a renewed investigation into a 20-year-old case involving alleged misuse of EU funds connected to one of his companies.
According to Balazs Nemeth, spokesperson for Fidesz's parliamentary group, "the courts suddenly remembered that they should request to lift the immunity of Babis" and the leader of a potential coalition partner.
