A northeast Missouri town, Queen City, has been awarded $1.79 million for crucial wastewater treatment system upgrades by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources (DNR).
The project, estimated to cost $2.5 million, will include replacing influent, effluent, and transfer structures, as well as other upgrades to meet effluent limits and maintain compliance with the city's operating permit.
Funding from Missouri's State Revolving Fund positively affects our communities, helping them grow and develop for years to come.
The project is expected to be completed by April 2027, according to the announcement.
