The Bantam River Riders played their last game at Max Clunie Field on Sunday, marking a special occasion as they faced off against the Hague Junior Panthers for the first time.
The River Riders emerged victorious with a 27-8 win, despite trailing 8-0 at halftime. According to coach Ashley Viklund, the matchup occurred due to unusual circumstances.
“We typically in the fall play 12 –a-side in the KFL (Kinsmen Football League), but this year we didn’t have the people for that, so this was our first fall playing six -a-side,”
