The Hauser Fire Department is persevering after its building burned down three weeks ago in Hauser, Oregon.
Despite the challenges, the department is updating the public on its status and is currently operating from a donated RV.
"Every time you turn around you have another challenge because you go to do stuff like normal, that stuff’s not there anymore,” says Chief Jerry Wharton. “You just have to adapt and overcome and that's something that we do on a regular basis in everything that we respond to.
Chief Wharton notes that working out of a vehicle brings a heap of challenges, but the department is adapting to the new circumstances.
The RV was donated to the department a few days after the fire, allowing them to continue their operations.
