Dacre Montgomery's Directorial Debut
Filming has begun on Dacre Montgomery's directorial debut, The Engagement Party, in Western Australia (WA).
Production will take place in the state's south west before moving to Perth. The story, written by Jory Anast, follows two couples reuniting on a secluded island to celebrate a momentous occasion, before a conflicting memory threatens to tear their relationships apart.
- Lily Sullivan, Abbey Lee, and Arlo Green join Montgomery in the cast.
- The film is a collaboration between GoodThing Productions and Indian Pacific Pictures.
- Producers include Virginia Whitwell, Nick Batzias, Ian Booth, and Nash Edgerton, with Stephen Langsford as executive producer.
Screen Australia has provided major production investment in association with Screenwest and Lotterywest.
