South Africa’s earliest cherry harvest ever has begun in Ceres, with sugar levels over 25° Brix, record sweetness, bumper crops, and a longer season of ruby-red bliss.
The harvest, which started on October 29, 2025, is the earliest in years, thanks to ideal spring rains and sunshine that have pushed trees into overdrive, delivering glossy ruby gems weeks ahead of schedule.

said Tru-Cape marketing director Justin du Toit. This extended season means more time to enjoy the fruit through summer festivities and beyond.
