Eight-year-old Connor Moulton has won his own battle, crossing the finish line as a winner after a two-year fight with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia.
The fear that comes with childhood cancer is unlike anything else.
Connor faced numerous challenges, including losing his ability to walk on two occasions, but is now cancer-free. V8 SuperUtes driver Jimmy Vernon, an ambassador for the Kids with Cancer Foundation, was a friendly face during Connor's toughest days in hospital.
Connor's victory was celebrated at the Bathurst 1000, with Vernon helping to share the terrific news.
