Call for Nominations: 2026 Herty Medal
The American Chemical Society Georgia Section is seeking nominations for the 2026 Charles Holmes Herty Medal, recognizing the work and service of an outstanding chemist in the southeastern US.
By Sara Cottle, the latest chemistry news, including important research advances, business and policy trends, chemical safety practices, career guidance, and more.
- Nominees may come from academic, government, or industrial settings.
- Must have resided or worked in the southeastern US for more than 10 years.
The award recipient will be honored by the Georgia Section at an awards banquet in fall 2026, where they will receive a gold medal designed to commemorate the work of Herty.
The deadline for submission of nominations is January.
