A Quiet & Seasonable Week of Weather Ahead

A Quiet & Seasonable Week of Weather Ahead

Our stretch of dry skies and seasonable temperatures will continue into the new workweek.

A midweek cold front will reinforce the fall feel with cooler days, cold nights, and widespread frost possible Thursday and Friday morning.

The nor’easter that provided us with a steady breeze and mostly cloudy skies on Sunday will continue to march up the East Coast on Monday.

Expect the sun to peak out more frequently on Monday in the lowlands, while our mountains will likely hold on to overcast conditions throughout the day.

Seasonable high temperatures on Monday and Tuesday will be in the upper 60s to low 70s in the lowlands, in the mid to upper 60s in our valleys, and 50s to low 60s above 3000’.

A dry cold front will cross our region on Wednesday, and dominant high pressure will move in behind it, resulting in cooler temperatures and mostly sunny skies for the Wednesday through Friday timeframe, with Thursday being the coolest day.

Author's summary: Seasonable weather continues into the workweek.
